My now-husband(!) and I found ætla while searching for bespoke engagement rings in Edinburgh, and immediately knew we had come to the right place. Keira, Gemma, and Ross are so welcoming and friendly, and have a wonderful eye for unique and beautifully well-crafted pieces.
We worked with them and the lovely Flora Bhattachary to design a ring, and could not be happier with the outcome. Everyone was so supportive and communicative, and the process was not only painless, but also a lot of fun. We didn't hesitate to return for our wedding bands, from Ellis Mhairi Cameron (mine), and Alison Macleod (my husband's), and are equally delighted with them. Ellis even customised the stones in the band to complement my engagement ring. We regularly receive compliments on the pieces, and are so pleased to wear them every day.

The whole team at Aetla were incredibly helpful in helping us find my Husbands wedding band. He knew he wanted something a little different, but wasn't sure what and has a very hands on job. The team were very kind in letting him try and and all options on till he worked out what felt comfortable and 'him'. Worth going out your way to visit the store. I found a really unique ring on their online site, and visited their lovely shop in Stockbridge to try it out for size. I met Gemma who was super friendly and showed me a whole range of rings from the jeweller, where I discovered a ring I loved even more. Gemma was really helpful and we had my finger properly sized, and the ring sent to jeweller to fit accordingly. The whole experience was great, and I'd make ætla my first choice when looking for jewellery in future. Thank you again!
