I bike everywhere, it's my main mode of transport. So a bike has to be durable, and well-performing besides. When it breaks down, I need it fixed quickly, and well enough to delay the next eventual maintenance visit more than just a couple weeks. It has to last at least a month--sometimes 2--of day to day riding, in all kinds of weather, because I rarely have the time, or funds, to see to it at shorter durations.

This shop is the only one in all my years as a bicyclist that's delivered that kind of service and quality to me. They are my lifeblood here in State College, and I'd recommend them to anyone who rides often, and needs competent, thorough workmanship. I wouldn't go anywhere else unless they could not provide something I needed, and so far, that hasn't happened. I love this shop, and I'll keep coming here as long as I live in this city.

I bought myself and my daughter a bike from these guys almost two decades ago and we got tons of great use out of them. Recently, I sent my bike to college with my kiddo and it was stolen. I took a chance and called Freeze Thaw to see if they (by any crazy chance) had a record of the model. Not only could they help with that, they were also able to tell me the serial number and forward me the receipt! Grateful for some seriously great customer service today! Huge shoutout to Justin and his team for the exceptional service they provide! They are incredibly welcoming, passionate, knowledgeable, and helpful with every single part of the process. I bought my very first bike with them and they made it such an easy and fun experience! I also needed a bike rack and was intimidated to get it on my car and use it. They set it up for me and took the time to walk me through it, ensuring that I know how to properly use it.

As a woman who rode bikes only occasionally, going into a bike shop is a bit intimidating, but I really appreciate that the staff at Freeze Thaw was always willing to answer my questions and let me test out lots of bikes before making (what felt to me like) a big purchase. They also made my old bike much safer before I finally bought a new one from their shop. I now bike nearly every day and I have them to thank for getting me back into biking for my commute.

needed my bike post trimmed and they did the job! they had every right to turn me down as i came in pretty late to closing but they serviced me with no charge. also, very cute dog!! 10/10 would recommend

Was traveling and needed a bottom bracket replaced. They had it done very quickly and did such a great job that I could just be back on the trail no worries. Friendly folks and great service! I liked the decor also and found a couple of other things to help me on the journey. Highly recommend.
