Expensive for what you get. I’ve been here several times throughout the years, and while it’s in a great location in Greektown, it’s really just a really expensive generic Mexican-American restaurant. Nothing special about any of the food or drinks here, but your wallet will definitely notice.

Another thing that turned me off just now when ordering a takeout meal - when I paid my bill again - for TAKEOUT - there was a 15% automatic gratuity charge. I paid $32 for a pretty disappointing burrito. I even asked the owner what was up with the automatic gratuity charge on a takeout order, and he just shrugged at me rather rudely.

I would definitely not come back here again and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

My husband and I went there for dinner Thursday. 1/23/25. The place had no customers which we should have took as a warning. I ordered 2 tamales topped with chilli and cheese and a side of rice and beans. The food arrived in record time. The problems were that
1. Rice and beans were dry, the center was cold to touch but the plate was hot (signs of microwaved old food)
2. The tamales were warm and the cheese looked like plastic. I was able to pull it up in one piece. The chilli on top was very dry.
One tamales was mainly chicken with little to no breading. The other one had no chicken.
3. My husband's food was dry and did not finish it.
4. Someone on staff was 'drunk singing' in a microphone which was annoying.
5. The bill came with automatic 15% gratuity for a party of two. This could be why we were ignored by the staff until they brought the bill. (We normally pay between 20-25% gratuity just to support but i guess they did us a favor)
To add 'insult to injury,' I woke up in the middle of the night vomiting the food and was sick all day after eating there. I'm convinced they served us old re-heated food.
Bad service in a prime location.......
I will not go back there again even if the food was free.

First time here. Nice place. The food is pretty good. Waitress was very nice and pleasant!

I dined in for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon and sat at the bar. At this time, there was ample parking directly across the street which I appreciated. The service was fast and my food was fresh, piping hot, and delicious. I enjoyed the vegetable enchilada and my associate had the cheese quesadilla. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. I recommend this restaurant.

My team and I wanted lunch. We thought about Tacos and your restaurant was close by. The food was awesome as well as the staff. The portions were great as well.

The enchiladas were from that's trip. My review still holds true. Keep it up team. 8/15/24!!

Drinks was a little expensive but strong, so it was worth the price Tall margarita $15,
, Only complaint Is I was disappointed no FROZEN DRINKS because most Mexican restaurants have frozen margaritas and it's the middle of summer. Oh and

This placed really saved me! TDLR it was great for a large group gathering after a conference (~30 people).

I walked in the day before to see if they could accommodate a large group with separate checks, and Maya at the bar was so helpful. She made sure to let the staff know the next day we were coming. Richie was our server and he was a champ! He waited on all of us and did separate checks--everyone had a great time.

We almost had the gathering at what I thought was a decent food hall at the casino across the street--let's just say it wasn't what I was expecting. Loco's was the place for us!
