I’ve spent a lifetime shopping at Joann fabrics- I’m so, so glad that I never have to go there again! This is going to be my new go-to spot for fabric. The selection is incredible and the prices were very fair. The biggest down side is parking which is typical in Chicago. This place has 2- 6 spot lots, both of which were full…and the bathrooms were pretty bad. I’ve definitely seen worse but, in all honesty, it’s a small price to pay for the over all experience. Check out was easy and they also have a good selection of sewing and machine needles.

This place is fabric heaven! It has over four stories of fabric, notions, and everything you could need for your sewing project. The staff is always incredibly helpful and the fabric is the most affordable I’ve found in the city.

They have every type of fabric imaginable. I’ve purchased fabric here for dresses, couch cushion covers, curtains, and quilts. They even have a room full of leather (although I can’t speak to the quality of this)

It could easily take an entire day to look through their inventory, so if it’s you’re going, plan on spending A LOT of time there. I would definitely recommending going with a list of fabric you are looking for, otherwise it can get a bit overwhelming. It also gets very very busy on the weekend and there is almost always a line to cut fabric, so be sure to plan for that as well.

I would 100% recommend shopping here for fabrics before anywhere else. So lucky to have this place in the city!

Visited this place on 10/12/2023. They have a small bit of parking available. Lots and Lots of fabrics available more then I have ever seen in my life tbh. Staff was kind and welcoming and would help if asked. I do wish they sold a lil more faux furs but they did have some available!

The selection is beautiful, the prices are fantastic, and the customer service is excellent! The people who work here are very knowledgeable and kind, and will help you get the right fabric for your project. If you can, I’d recommend going early on a weekday so there’s less of a crowd. But, even on Sunday afternoons when the store is packed, I have a great time. I would highly recommend to any sewist in the Chicago area - it’s so worth the drive!!

I had a fantastic experience finding fabric to match the suede microfiber on my couch and loveseat. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, guiding me to select the perfect color for my slipcovers. I really appreciated their assistance, especially since my initial attempt to shampoo the fabric resulted in some damage and my dogs had left their mark, too. I was unsure how to refresh it, but thanks to the team's expertise, I found the ideal solution without needing to buy a new couch. I highly recommend this place for anyone in need of quality fabric and outstanding service! I can't wait to share my before and after photos!

On my day off i Googled ‘fabric stores’ and was decided on spending my money for a craft in a small business. I drove all the way here from Indiana. ALTHOUGH— this business is an entire warehouse full of treasures and I cannot stop raving and praising how wonderful and helpful all the staff treated all customers. Towards the end I was being helped by a really kind and helpful young man named Israel. Come to find out he IS THE OWNER. He was so helpful and humble I really left there feeling like a valued customer and I found everything I was looking for our pillow craft. THANK YOU IMMENSELY ISRAEL AND THANK YOU TO ALL YOUR WONDERFUL STAFF 🙂
