This is my first experience with Von Maur. It reminds me of Marshall Field's back when I was a kid. My parents would go to Field's when they needed quality over price. In the men's department, I found a couple of items in my price range and ascetic. I was impressed by the fitting rooms. There was a three-way mirror and two wingback chairs. The fitting rooms were immaculate, roomy, and well maintained. There were no discarded clothes, hangers, or pins. I guess I have been experiencing retailers the visit their fitting once a day (at the closing), this was really appreciated, and I mentioned it to their staff. I also noticed vom Maur dedicated floor space to non-merchandise; there was a small Picasso Sculpture (Daily Plaza), an antique horse betting wheel, and other antiques. Prices were competitive with Macy's. They did have a "Snack Bar" that was more kitchen supplies and sundrey items.

What a beautifully decorated store for the holiday. Every employee was kind and friendly . They had a pianist playing Christmas music and you can hear it though the whole store . Large variety of cloths for men and women. Some things are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for .

The service in the shoe department is horrible and I've been to two store's and they both were the same. I really feel I wasn't being serviced because of my Nationality. One customer walked up to me and Apologized. ( she said I'm sorry about the way you were treated).

Like the other Von Maurs in the Chicagoland area this is the place to shop. Quality goods a lot of times on sale, quality service and free gift wrapping too! Give this store a try!

I love this store! I love the way the employees treat others. I love the selection. The women's bathroom was heavenly! I'm so happy whenever I shop here.

I like Von Maur better than it's rival stores in Orland Square Mall... It's just personal taste/opinion but they are a bit more conservative with 'fashion' and have a lot of good business-casual options. They also carry clothing from a couple harder to find brands I like. Sure you can shop online for most things but call me old-fashioned. When it comes to clothing I prefer to try something on if I need to. I prefer that to ordering then having to return via shipping. And it's right across from my Oncologist' office. They usually have a good piano player... It's just pleasant place for some 'retail therapy' after treatments. TMI... It is what it is. I typically do all my Christmas shopping there for my mom & three sisters. Easy. And can't forget to mention the staff is very polite &vhelpful in that regard.
